Lip Sync- Chants

This week Longwood held Lipsync. It is an event that CPC (Panhel) puts on each semester for new members and each chapter performs a dance to a mix of songs. Before Lipsync starts all of the different sororities do different chants to get excited. Unfortunately our chapter does not know any chants so we can't ever participate. We know parts of a few different ones but we do not know any chants in their entirety. Any suggestions from Alpha Gams about chants that other chapters do?? Please help!.

    Hey Gamma Lambda! Here are some chants that we do at VCU...I will change some of it around to fit for your chapter...

    Fight Chant
    AAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh (Run together in a circle, someone counts to three)
    The Red, The Buff
    The Red, The Buff, The Green
    We're Alpha Gamma Delta
    The best you've ever seen
    We're Gamma Lambda Chapter
    We're rising to the top
    We're Alpha Gamma Delta

    Hello,
    I was the Rush Chair at Longwood (a few years back) and created a song/chant book for the sisters b/c we had so many songs and needed to get ready for Rush. I still have a copy, and a professionally made movie, and a tape from headquarters ??? of AGD songs... would love to share :)

    I was pres of longwood chapter in 2003 and our favorite chant used to be "ruckus":

    IF YOU WANNA RAISE A RUCKUS IF YOU WANNA CAUSE A SCREAM....
    JUST COME TO THE HOUSE WHERE THE GIRLS ARE A DREAM...
    WE'LL SPOIL AND DELIGHT YOU, WE'LL SUIT YOU TO A "T"...
    WE'RE ALPHA GAMMA DEALTA, YES WE'RE AGD.

    WE ARE THE SISTERS OF ALPHA GAM
    WE ARE THE GREATEST THROUGHOUT THE LAND
    SO KICK OFF YOUR SHOES AND KNOCK OFF YOUR SOCKS...

    Hey! I'm from the Alpha Omega chapter at Duquesne! Here are some of the chants we use during rush and greek week!

    A-L(one person says this)
    A-L (all)
    P-H-A (one person again)
    P-H-A (all)
    G-A-M-M-A-D-E-L-T-A Alpha Gams are the best so much better than all the rest! (all) and then we normally repeat it about three times

    Another one we use is:

    We are the Alpha Gams
    the best in all the land
    Red, buff and green and stuff
    hey, hey that's not enough
    roses and pearls and squirrels
    we got the greatest girls
    oh how I love those Alpha Gams those Alpha Gams
    repeat
